I got a summons for Jury duty today, yes me. Of course me, who else! It is my civic duty after all and when the courts call we must go running….. but apparently, Lawyers do not have a civic duty to sit as jurors and are exempt from such time wasting drivil. I think it would be neat to sit and make judgement on someone… maybe. I guess I am relieved to be able to call in and say “sorry, not me. I’m exempt.”

Aside from the above excitement, I have been beside myself worrying about extended family and family related issues. I must resolve to NOT GIVE A SHIT about what people think of me. Mostly I don’t, but with family it is different. Some people treat strangers better than they treat their own family. So my motto today is: People who live in glass houses, should not throw stones! Hey, come to think of it, putting up with this shit must qualify as civic duty? No? Big reach? Ah, well. Just tryin.
Anyway, I am not going to get into the specifics because, quite frankly, I could not be bothered to waste my time.
