Worries

I’m not worried that
I won’t be a good mother.
I will be.

I’m not worried that
Craig won’t be a good father.
He will be.

I’m not worried about
the financial impact
that our baby will
have on our life.
We’ll budget, sacrifice
and get by.

I’m not worried that
my career may suffer.
I’m expecting it to take
a few steps back.

I worry about every little
cramp, that seems worse
than the one before.

I worry that I don’t know
what a normal, healthy
pregnancy feels like.
I’ve never been pregnant.

I worry that I will drive
my doctor crazy if I call
to tell him I am worried.

I am worried about the
stress caused from
worrying.

I cannot wait until
my waistline disappears.

I cannot wait until
the baby is kicking me
and saying “I’m right here, mommy,
I’m right here.”

Cramps, tugs, pulls, twinges and flutters are ALL normal. That’s just your uterus stretching and getting ready to grow with baby. How do I know this?

Well, because during my first pregnancy I called Telehealth at least 20 times (to the point where they knew me by name) crying at each little cramp, tug, pull, twinge and flutter….LOL! So I know what you’re going through..

Try to relax. If you feel fine, then everything is fine.

Take care of yourself. The more you take care of yourself the more you take care of baby Pea. Worry is normal…..totally and completely normal. I imagine that what I went through doesn’t help you worry less. But, always remember my circumstances and the potential life that Logan would have been born into. He is resting in a better place. You and Craig are loving parents. You do everything you need to be healthy. Your baby will follow your lead.
