At least it wasn’t at the time…

Picture it… Sunday afternoon 3:00 ish, our back yard, our hot tub.

Craig and I decided to relax with a short session in the hot tub. It was approximately -3 degrees celius and our yard is definitly snow covered. Need the shoes, sandels or slippers on the feet going out to the hot tub.

We just get in and start relaxing *sigh* and our hockey billet Sami comes to the back door…

Sami: I am going soon, for player appearance and won’t be home for supper.
Craig: Okay, good to know.
Nic: Are you taking the car?
Sami: No, getting a ride.
Nic: Okay. Hey when you leave will you make sure to lock the front door because we are sitting out back.
Sami: Yea, okay. See you later.

(Can you all see where this is going, well can you?)

About ten minutes later, I decided that I should get out of the hot tub. I don’t like to stay in there too long because of baby. So I get out, dry off a bit, put my slippers on and my housecoat and proceed to the back door.

Nic: (With look of panic on her face) SHIT CRAIG, HE LOCKED THE BACK DOOR!
Craig: No, he didn’t!
Nic: YES, HE EFFING DID! I will go around front and see if (we are lucky) he didn’t lock the front door.

Two minutes go by…. front door is locked.

Oh yes readers…. The Rumour Millers were locked out of their house wearing just their bathing suits and bath robes. We are offically the Gong Show on our street.

After about five or ten minutes of trying to get the garage door open and going to the neighbours to use the phone (who wasn’t home, I might add), Craig got one of our windows open (because we didn’t lock it on the inside) and managed to shimmy in the window to unlock the door.

Sami didn’t arrive home until 11:00 p.m. so worse case scenario: we are sitting out in our robes for 7 hours and would now be trying to hide the Finn’s body.

Oh my goodness Nicole!!! That was a great story. I am glad however that you guys didn’t get stuck outside for 7 hours, that would have been horrible!!! Great blog today, good laugh!

At least your husband is über sweet and did that for you.
