It’s official.
I am an insulin junkie.
Right into the thigh.
Oh ya.
I must admit, I was terribly nervous
to give myself the very first ever shot
of insulin.
I didn’t even feel a thing.
It’s not a syringe. But a Pen with
an itty bitty needle, fine needle
at the end.
I hate that I have GD.
But I think in the back of my
mind, I knew I wouldn’t escape it.
Family history riddled with diabetes – risk factor numero uno.
I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) with insulin resistance – risk factor numero dos.
I was still a few pounds over weight before conceiving – risk factor numero tres.
I am of aboriginal decent – risk factor numero cuatro.
I am older than 25 – risk factor numero cinco.
But, still, I am sad about it.
Hoping that Miss Pea arrives
sooner rather than later and
healthy.
