The Big Date

Last night Craig and I painted the town Red.
It was fabulous and, what felt like forever, since
we painted that canvas.

Being out sans Piper, we started talking about
“the good ‘ole days, BP (before Piper) and even
BC (before Craig). We were trying to decide
if there was a time in our life that we wish
we could re-visit. Only for like a night because
anything longer than that would probably kill us.

I remembered the two years in university
when I shared an apartment with the same
roommate. Every Saturday night was, “Drink
our faces off and Dance our asses off” night.
And it was so effing fun. If there was no
party, we made one! Those were the days
when you didn’t go to the bar until at least
10:00, you closed it down, found a party,
then a 24 hour restaurant and finally somewhere
around “the sun is coming up” you found your
bed.

My partying days ended abruptly when that
roommate and I parted ways and I started
law school. What a party pooper law school
was.

Craig and I had a group of friends that we
met playing baseball (when we moved far
far away to Southern Ontario). Last night
we remembered that we often had get
togethers that started off as dinner and
ended up as a party. I couldn’t keep up.
I was officially “getting old”.

Fast forward to present time. Although we
enjoyed our PFN, the only place we wanted
to be was with Piper all wrapped up in
eachother. And if we left now we could still
get a good night’s sleep.

Sounds like you two had a great time! Funny how priorities change after the babies come. Sounds like you and Craig have a wonderful relationship!

and I always thought you were the ideal student, never partied, studied hard, the whole 9 yards.Funny what you learn after your children are grown and raising a family of their own.

HAHAHAHA….That’s too funny….cause I’m still learning things about mom and dad’s “wild” times back in the day. Auntie Pauline and Uncle Greg are always a fountain of information.
