A Ghost

I think we have one. I’m not freaking crazy either. At first it was just joke between Craig and I about odd sounds and thumping noises. Just thought that these were the sounds in this house that we needed to get used to.

One night my Mom was here in our living room and we had gone to bed. She came to our room to tell us that she heard a knock on our dining room window. We checked it out and didn’t see a soul and no prints in what little snow we did have. But we just chalked it up to kids cutting through our yard.

One night as we were retiring to bed, we both heard a big thump at our back patio door and there sat a little dog that we had never seen before and we have never seen since.

Many nights as we sit in our living room, we hear thumping at our front door. We always look at eachother and joke that the “Ghost wants in”.

Last weekend while my sister was here our “tuner” (or whatever you call it) for our surround sound speakers kept turning off. While the remote sat nicely on the coffee table or the arm of the chair. This happened quite a few times during her three day stay and has happened once since.

Then, today, solidifying my belief that we indeed have a ghost… Piper and I wake at 7:30 to eat and get out the door by 8:30 to make it to Kindermusik in time. Nothing out of the ordinary until I get home. As I am pulling into my driveway I look towards our front door (we have two doors in front but the big main door we do not use and the snow is piled up in front of it) and I think, “hmmm we really should hang that decorative pot rack in our entry.” Then it dawned on me that I shouldn’t be able to see that pot rack because we do not have a window in our door! I stopped the van and jumped out to see that door wide open and no foot tracks in the snow. I ran over to the door and it was still locked but wide open. I called for Molson and could hear the little shit come trotting out from the bedroom area.

It is freezing in our house now. Who knows how long that damn door was open. but it certainly wasn’t this morning when I left! All three of my pets still inside the house. So after I unloaded the van and got Piper in the house, I just said out loud (to no one in particular)….”I don’t care if you do these things, I just don’t ever want to see you.”

Because then I think I’d crap my pants and faint.

OK that’s just creepy!!! Hope your ‘ghost’ stays quiet now that you have ‘talked’ to it! 🙂

Take care

So every once in awhile I watch Montel when Sylvia Browne is on. I can’t believe I’m going to quote her right now! She’s said that you’re suppose to tell them to go to the light. I guess it’s worth a try.
