Yup. For the first time since Piper was born, I am sick with a head cold. Actually I think it has been exactly a year since my last cold. Both Craig and Piper have been sick a few times and I have managed to escape it… until now.
I have recently came to a conclusion… when children’s teeth fall out and they get money, it comes from the tooth fairy. But when babies are teething and screaming and crying, it’s that damn tooth bitch (ain’t no fairy about it). Piper cut her top tooth (as I think I have mentioned here before) and let me tell you, we were ALL miserable. Grampa looked like he was going to start pulling out his hair, Gramma looked like she was going to cry and all I could do was hold Piper as she cried bloody murder in my ear…. then fell asleep for ten minutes, then cried bloody murder in my ear, then fell asleep for a half hour….. you get the point here. I held that baby girl for two days straight. She is doing much better now.
She has also learned a new trick. She has been pulling up for a while now and even in her crib, but never upon waking up and waiting for someone to get her. Until now. I know she isn’t the first baby to do stuff like this, but give me my moment in the sun. My girl is soooooo smart.

Yeah, I 2nd the yikes on the teeth! Lily has been okay so far, but I feel like molars are gonna be our big challenge.
We all need our moment in the sun and I bet Piper is the smartest girl ever!
Teething is a brutal process. My mother used to dip my pacifier in VODKA and then give it to me to soothe my teething. Ooh, the 70’s.
