Back to work Monday

Was a piece of cake… Gramma was here in the morning with Sweet Pea and Daddy was with her all afternoon. They even made a trip to meet Mommy for lunch. How nice.

Today was my first official day of getting myself read and getting Piper ready, dropping her at day care and then getting me arse to work…. it was one of my more difficult mornings. I couldn’t find Piper’s stuff and it put me over the edge just a bit. I called Craig at work and told him that he should have helped me. We need a plan. A routine. We need to do things before morning.

I dropped Piper at day care and she cried and I heard her even after I shut the door. So on my 2o minute drive to work, I wondered of the two of us, who cried longer? I think it was me. Craig called to check up on her at 1:00 and she was napping… this is a good sign. We have had a terrible time with getting her to sleep. We have even transitioned her crib into a day bed because she screamed bloody murder when we put her in her crib. Now it is just a bed.

When I arrived to pick up my Sweetest Little Pea, she was outside with the other kids in the wagon. They had all just returned from their second trip to the park. She is having a glorious time… she didn’t cry this time but I got so many loves and hugs. I also found out that Miss Pea had a two hour nap this afternoon! That is one thing I haven’t been able to get her to do since she was a newborn. sigh.

Now I can hear her chit chatting to her Daddy when she should be sleeping. What a stinker. She must be telling him all about her day and the park they played at.

ps: Mom’s day was good. Things are slow right now but soon I will be complaining about how damn busy I am or I’ll be grinning ear to ear when I get my share of billings.
