Is where I spent Monday afternoon.
Monitoring contractions and Bug’s heartbeat.
I lost my plug while I was at work and
started having contractions. Nothing that
was unbearable but it was certainly not the
most comfortable feeling. Needless to say,
it was a false alarm but things are starting
to move along.
My contractions were consistently about 20
minutes apart but mild. My cervix is starting
open but that is about it. My water hasn’t
broken, so I was sent home. Home where I can
try to relax with my discomfort.
Friday was supposed to be my last day in the office
but after Monday’s episode and my increasingly
uncomfortable body, Monday was my last day in the
office. I am working from home this week and then
I am done.
I know this prelabor stuff can drag on for weeks but
I am only hoping for two more weeks. Bug should be
in fine form by then and I don’t want to spend the month
of June in discomfort. I guess only time will tell.
