A first for the family of four

We went on holidays last week to the Twin Cities! Our original plan was to leave Tuesday morning but decided to drive three hours Monday night and then the final four on Tuesday afternoon. Here is Piper as we set off. She was alseep within about 20 minutes and slept the three hours to our first destination. Here we are! Piper was excited to have a television in her “room” just like Mommy and Daddy. We fed Davilyn and then the whole family settled in for the night. As we made our way to the Twin Cities, Piper spilled a cup full of water on her clothing… so we stripped her down to her underwear and put her shirt and shorts in the back to dry. She doesn’t appear to mind. There was lots of swimming done on this holiday much to the satisfaction of our 2 and 1/2 year old. Davilyn joined in on all the fun too… she just slept through most of it. The first thing we did when we arrived was spend a day at Como Town. Piper loved it and it sure helped to burn up all the energy from the car ride the day before. She sat wonderfully to have her face painted. This is how Davilyn enjoyed Como Town… it was stinkin hot, but this baby loves the heat so she was happy to just be in her seat sleeping. Piper loved all the rides, of course. We spent the day there letting her enjoy all the rides she wanted. Piper was not such a big fan of the Frog Hopper… they let her off early and as soon as she was safe in Daddy’s arms, she promptly asked if she could go again. She wasn’t able to ride the swings alone so we ventured on them together a couple of times. Davilyn made her presence known every now and again. The Bjorn turned out to be a great way to feed, burp and comfort Davilyn and keep on moving. The teacups were also a hit and I can’t wait for Piper to ride them when we go to Disney World in February. We tackled the Mall of America and the Underwater Adventures. Davilyn even woke for a while to watch the sharks and have something to eat. Then we went over to Nickelodeon Universe and Piper talked Auntie into going on some rides with her. Piper even got to meet Dora the Explorer… how exciting for her! Even Mommy, Daddy and Auntie had some fun! We spent a day with Piper at a waterpark called Bunker Beach. We had so much fun! And in case you did not know it, there is nothing better than water and sand together!

Looks like you guys had a great time! We did Disney this past February and it’s a great time to go. Not too crowded during the week. The weekend got a little busier.
