Dear Piper ~

We are coming up to your third birthday! Your THIRD birthday! Where have the years gone? You are getting to be such a big girl and you have your own sense of taste as well. You are becoming much more independent and more days than not, you like to dress yourself. It’s rarely a battle for us, because I just let you choose what you want to wear (within reason). If we are actually going anywhere, I encourage you to change. You seem to enjoy your wardrobe so much that you welcome a second change of clothes during the day.

You are starting pre-school today and I am so hoping that you have a great day! I hope you make some friends and like your teachers. Mommy is going back to work today. One day a week for now, so Daddy is home with you and Davilyn and responsible for making sure you arrive at school on time. I cannot wait to hear all about your first day when I get home tonight! I’m sure you will have a blast.

We celebrated another Christmas together and, although Mama still enjoys getting a few things herself, it really is about making your Christmas special. We were fortunate to be able to celebrate with Gramma, Papa, Auntie Michelle and Grammy & Grampy!

Your conversations are so much fun and I can almost see your mind working. The other night while I was putting your to bed we were talking about how you were going to spend the next day. You started asking about Grammy & Grampy going home to Halifax and when I told you that they would have to go home in a couple of more weeks, you looked at me and said,

“Oh Mama but I will miss them so much.”

And I know you will but how lucky you are to have had them here for three weeks.

I love watching you grow and how much you are enjoying being a big sister. You and Davilyn are my pride and joy. I know just how blessed I am that I get to be your Mommy.

Mommy loves you, Sweetest Pea.

Love Mommy.

She is so cute. I can’t believe she is almost three. I think I started reading your blog just after she was born!

Take care and enjoy!
