Dear Davilyn ~

Nose to nose with a BEAR! And before you were nine months, no less! You are getting so big and I can hardly believe that it has been nine months.

We went to Disney World. I know you will never remember it but you had a great time!

You are such a beautiful little girl and I feel so blessed that you are mine. I often find myself thinking, “Why me?” Why did I get so lucky… I just, sometimes, find it hard to believe that my life is so rich.

You aren’t crawling yet, but you lay on your tummy and kick your feet and then roll yourself around. You just started to push or pull yourself along the hardwoord floors as well. You really don’t seem to have any interest in actually crawling, and that’s okay. Before I know it you will walking and I’m okay with you taking your time.

You said, “Mama” in the van the other day and both Piper and I heard you. Clear as a bell. I was elated. We will certainly be enouraging you to call out to me! Piper is now trying to get you to say her name. “Davilyn, say Piper.” It’s pretty cute.

You are well on your way to all things “table food” related and enjoying it very much. You have already sampled a wide variety of foods and there hasn’t been one yet that you have turned away.

We are enjoying another session of Kindermusik together and you are certainly enjoying it. It’s fun for the the three of us to get out of the house during the day and do something fun! Mama is going to try and get us all registered for the spring swimming lessons. You have not had swimming lessons yet, but you sure enjoy our trips to the pool. This will take some planning since swimming lessons will have to be a family event.

You are such a precious little girl with her own unique personality. You are a great little sleeper unless you are teething and, of course, when you were sick. Any upset to your sleep schedule throws your Daddy and I for a loop because it is so unlike you. I am so happy to be able to experience a nap time where I just put you in the crib and you go to sleep. Your sister was not like that.

You still have these big beautiful blue eyes and Mama hopes that they stay that way. The same colour as your Daddy’s. You have beautiful long eyelashes as well. You’ll love these when you are older.

It’s hard to believe that in three short months we will be celebrating your first birthday… the years slip by so fast. Without us even noticing it… I guess it’s true, time flies when you are having fun.

Mama loves you, Boo.

Love Mama

Hi there. I am a blog friend of a friend and I check here periodically! You do such a beautiful job with these letters to your girls. They are lucky (and lovely!).

Ahhh how I love swimming so much. Don’t you just find it so relaxing. Everyone should learn how to swim. If not you might want to consider taking swimming classes.
