Piper is starting to get a little sassy. She is starting to talk back. Mostly we have it under control.
I say, “Piper, you do not speak to Mommy (or anyone else) that way. What do you say?”
She usually responds with,
“I’m sorry.”
Easter weekend, I heard my dad telling her that she shouldn’t do something. I couldn’t see because they were in the other room. Then I hear Piper say,
“Papa, you don’t speak to me that way.”
Today, Craig and I were having a disagreement in front of her. Nothing serious, but we were not agreeing. Then Piper speaks up,
“Mommy, Daddy, you don’t speak to each other that way.”
It totally caught us off guard. Of course we laughed and she was very proud of herself.
