Dear Davilyn ~
You are such a happy little girl and my sleep monger. I lurve you to bits and bits. You are so goofy and you love to laugh. You also love your Mommy. You want to be near me whenever you can be and, if possible, you do not go too far from me.
You aren’t much of a snuggler and you never have been. Lately you seem to like to lay your head on my shoulder or lay in my arms. I enjoy this. So very much.
You went from being a good sleeper to the world’s worst. We endured a month of this and were completely and totally exhausted. Then one night, Daddy let you cry it out…. ten minutes later you were sleeping. And sleeping through the night. It’s been eight nights now and my fingers are crossed!
You aren’t walking yet but you are getting close. Pulling up on everything and moving around with some of the walking toys that we have. I’m looking forward to you taking those first steps. I just hope that I do not miss it, since you are in day care three days a week. You really seem to be adjusting well to day care.
Another few adjustments that we are hoping to make soon… getting rid of your bottle and your soosie. I am not looking forward to this. You love them both and it is not going to be fun when we take them away. The count down is on but believe me when I say, “This will hurt me more than it hurts you.” I am truly hoping for an easy transition, but I am prepared that it could be down right miserable.
We have been spending out summer camping as much as possible. You are a fabulous camper! You don’t nap much when we are camping but you will occasionally close your eyes for a quick siesta. Mama loves this! Camping siestas are the best!
It’s so hard to believe that this time last year you were still just a little peanut… you are growing so much and so fast. Too fast.
