So the other night as I was putting Piper to bed, I decided to talk to her about Logan. She doesn’t fully understand but someday she will. I want my children to know Logan and who he is to our family. So I told her about Auntie Michelle’s baby boy and that he didn’t get to stay here on earth with us, but that he got to go to Heaven… way up in the sky. Then I told her that it was his birthday and she said (in a very concerned voice)…
“Did he eat his cake, Mom?”
And I said that I bet he did. She asked what kind it was and we settled on chocolate. He had chocolate cake for his birthday.
