Month 41 – Letter to Piper

Hann.ah Mon.tana… really? Already? I refuse to believe it.

Our summer is quickly approaching an end… too quickly. We have done everything we could to take advantage of the warm days but there have been just so many cold, wet ones.

You are loving your time at daycare and your little friends there. This makes me so happy! You are a very social little girl and you have many friends that you love to play with.

Tonight after supper you were singing, “Super Trooper” from Abba and were mostly making up your own words. You had the tune bang on though! I have lost my ipod to your quick hands and waiting ears. You put on your pink headphones and listen to it at home and in the van. Will I ever get to use it again? Isn’t three a bit young to have your very own ipod?

You are starting swimming lessons on Monday and you seem very excited! You will swim every week night for two weeks and, hopefully, pass the level. Mama thinks that learning how to swim is a very important life skill and I am sure that you will be wonderful. You are wonderful.

You have fallen out of your bed twice in the last week. Each time I am moving so fast to your room it’s shocking. I didn’t think I could move so fast. Thankfully, you have been okay. My worry for your safety will never go away. I am your Mama Bear and will run to side every time you need me. And. Even, sometimes when you don’t.
