Dear Davi ~
16 glorious months have come and gone since you entered our world and turned it upside down…. seriously. Nothing has been the same since a darling little girl named Davilyn arrived here at The Rumour Mill.
You are such a little firecracker with a temper to match. You are stubborn and headstrong… more like your Mama than I thought possible. To be honest, that scares me just a little bit.
This time last year you were still so small. Now I stare in wonder as you walk, dance, and run around the house. You are certainly doing your part in keeping up with everyone around here.
The seasons are turning now and we are gearing up for a cold winter but also Mama’s favourite holidays are on the horizon. I am very much looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my two favourite girls. Watching your eyes light up with all the magic of the season.
I know that you don’t understand what I am talking about when I tell you that I am having another baby. You soon will. Like the day our new bundle comes home and steals your spot in Mama’s arms. I am hoping that you adjust quickly. There will come a day when you won’t even remember your life without a younger sibling… I just hope that day is sooner rather later. You are still attached to your Mama like glue.
One of the favourite moments of my day continues to be seeing you smile at me every morning when I come to get you from your crib. That big glorious smile…. and it’s just for me.
