It’s no secret that I am on insulin again this pregnancy. The only difference being that I have been on insulin since about 12 weeks instead of 30 + weeks. It’s been okay. As okay as it can be, I guess. My sugars were well under control and I felt so in control of this…. then all of a sudden, I wasn’t. In control that is.
They have been creeping a bit too high. Not sky high, but they aren’t in the magic range. I want to enjoy Christmas and food! How I love food. Don’t we all.
I’m trying to get some feed back from my Endocrinologist’s office about what I should do. I’d like to know since I don’t actually see my Dr. again until after Christmas and by that point, I will have indulged. I am guessing that they will say to increase my insulin (which I actually have been doing), I just wonder… How much insulin is too much?

That stinks… hope you can stay regulated over the Christmas Season
Sorry to hear about needing insulin, especially right during the holiday food fest.
Hope you can get it under control. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy…only to find out when I switched doctors and they reviewed my records, that I did not have it. All that stress and worry for nothing. Grrrr!
Ugh. GD is a pain. I never ended up on insulin, though sometimes I think it may have been easier than me fighting it. THe hormones are a killer. Hope you find out. Or just spread it out and eat little bits all day. That might work.
