Dearest Piper ~

Four years ago, I woke in the morning because my water broke and you were ready to be born. It was four weeks early and your Dad and I were taken by surprise. What a great surprise it was.

It’s hard to believe that four years ago, a little baby that we named Piper was born. She wrapped us around her little finger and we never could have imagined how grand it would be.
It has been four years filled with learning, love, giggles and lots of sleepless nights… and it has all been worth it. I would give up sleep for a day of giggles anytime. This is the last year that we will have you at home before starting kindergarten. Amazing. You are such a beautiful little girl and your smile fills my heart with pride and joy and it lights up our home.
Time seems to stand still while it is moving so fast.
You love your friends and singing out loud. You have a soft heart and you love your sister. You are very much looking forward to having another sister joining our family. You tell Mama that you want to feed the baby and hold the baby. You even insist that you want to change diapers.
You still have a sweet tooth and I doubt that will ever change. You are full of energy and spirit and a zest for life. These past four years have been rewarding for us in so many ways and we look forward to what the next four (and more) will bring.
Happy 4th Birthday, Sweet Pea. Mama loves you.
Love Mama.
