Month 3 – Letter to Quinn

You are as cute as a button and as cute as the two sisters that came before you. You slid on into our family without too much interruption. Neither Piper nor Davilyn seemed to notice the big change (aside from some attention getting behaviour), they just opened up their hearts.

You, so far (and knocking on wood), are a pretty good little sleeper! You sleep about 6 – 10 hours at night and it’s so awesome! You cat nap on and off most of the day and usually around 3:00 or 4:00 you will have a two or three hour nap. Then you are up until 9:00 or 10:00 snacking and getting ready to sleep the night away. I think you also enjoy that time of night. After the big sisters are in bed, the house is peaceful!

We are getting ready to take your first big vacation and keeping our fingers crossed that you travel well. Whenever we go to Gramma & Papa’s, you sleep the entire way… it’s almost a four hour ride! So we are hopeful that you will do fine.

The last three months have gone by so fast and I know that the coming months will continue to race by us too. It’s amazing, you are amazing. You love when I strap you in the cuddly wrap or the Ergo carrier and you drift right off to sleep. So when you are a bit fussy or just want to be held and I need to get things done or spend time with Piper and Davilyn, I put you in and away we go. It’s been great and I hope I can rely on this for some time to come.

It’s pretty amazing just how right “you” feel in our family. Like we have all just been waiting for one another. How our little family is just so meant to be.
