Dearest Piper ~

You are such a sweet little girl and funny too! You were so much fun and so well behaved on our family vacation.
Now that you are getting older, travelling and vacationing with you is getting to be such a blast! You were so smitten with the Mountains and on our last night there you said to me, “Mama, we should just get a small mountain and bring it home with us.” I love you. You say things that send my heart a fluttering. You are an amazing little girl with an awesome spirit and natural love for life. Don’t ever lose that. Don’t ever forget about that little girl that wanted to bring the mountains home to the prairies. You’ll need her when you are older.
You always have the right things to say. After an enjoyable day during our vacation (all of them were pretty darn enjoyable) we were snuggling up for bed in the camper and you said to me, “Mama, us being all together like this is so much fun.” At the age of 4, you already know that family time is the best time. Please don’t ever forget that either.
You are so excited to go back to school (although you really wish you were going to Kindergarten, you have accepted the fact that you have one more year of preschool) and I am happy for you. I am so glad that you find this time of year exciting. I am sorry to say that there may come a day when going back to school isn’t so exciting.
You, my dear, make my heart sing.
Mama loves you, Pea.
Love Mama.
