Piper started hockey last week. It isn’t a lie when I say that she has been asking to play hockey since she could talk. She really has been. Every year, “Can I play hockey?” She had only been on skates one other time and she could not skate. So the first few nights there was quite a bit of this….
Daddy helping her out. Skating/walking with her. Pulling her along and picking her up…
She probably spent more time on the ice laying down or on her bum, then she actually did on her skates.
But, by the end of the week, she was off on her own. Piper’s determination will pay off. She was determined to play alongside her team and practise the drills with them. So by the end of the week, she did. She makes me proud because she refused to give up.
