Domestic Diva

Not really.  I would not make a good 1950’s housewife.  I am no June Cleaver.  You’ve read my blog header.  My dishes really aren’t done and yes, my house is a mess… it’s true.  I love to bake and sometimes I like to cook.  Big elaborate meals don’t happen very often here.  At Thanksgiving and Christmas… but that’s about it.

I am trying to turn over a new leaf.  Trying to do some meal planning in anticipation of our busy winter ahead (and my return to work.  Another post for another day).  So for the last week, I’ve been good.  I even have my meals mapped out for next week.  Pats on the back for me.

Anyway, last week I made this

Roasted Sage Chicken.  It turned out really well.  I am getting better at cooking with spices but I still need a recipe to guide me.  Even the big girls enjoyed it!  Including the potatoes, and that is no easy task here.  The only time they eat potatoes is if they are in the form of french fries but we are working on that!

So I am working on the cooking part of the Domestic Diva.  The baking will start up again just before Christmas.  The house cleaning… well, I can’t make any promises there.
