Are you listening?
In the lane snow is glistening
A Beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight
Walking in a Winter Wonderland!
I took this photo on New Years Day 2009. Off in the distance, you can see Craig pulling Piper on her brand new (she got it for Christmas) toboggan from her Papa and Gramma.
I just love it.
I also really love Christmas Music. Do you? Where do you listen to yours? I have my iTunes library full of all kinds of Christmas Music. Bing Crosby, Jewel, Barenaked Ladies… to name a few Artists that loop through my iPod. Right now, my iPod is docked in my van and we’ve been listening.
I want to give you an opportunity to build your iTunes library as well.
This is waiting for one of you! Unfortunately this iTunes gift card is only available to people residing in Canada. Do you want to know how you can get a chance to win this $25.00 gift certificate? It’s easy… Leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favourite Christmas Song is. If you tweet this contest on your twitter or post it facebook, come back and let me know that you did it and you will have 3 chances to win.
I’m excited to be sponsoring this giveaway and I have a few more up my sleeve, so come back and check often! I even have one that will be made available to my Non-Canadian friends as well (in the New Year and it’s a gooder, if I do say so myself).
Contest will close Sunday night and I will announce the winner on Monday!
So have at it!

When I was a kid Away in a Manger was my fave.
Now?? Oh my. I really love to listen to Carol of the Bells but I love the mood and words of O Holy Night. And I actually sing/hum Silent Night to my kids all throughout the year.
As for general “holiday” music? I always love Baby it’s Cold Outside and Santa Baby.
Oh, I could go on and on. Do I qualify for the contest yet????
I love Silent Night 🙂
LOVE Christmas!!
So thanks to you Nicole, you now have me singing Christmas songs in my head!! And in a frenzy thinking about Christmas in general. So I really had to think hard (past the Sleigh Bells ringing) to come up with my favorite song: The Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth.
Nicole! You have inspired me to put Christmas music on my ipod! I have spent so much money on cd’s why just have them in the car! My favorite Christmas song is Silent Night, and it became even closer to my heart when Pampers made the commercial to that song, it came out the year we became moms!
I love to hear Felice Navidat . over and over again , and O Holy Night .
Currently it’s the “The Christmas Song” by the Raveonettes.
One of my fav’s since I was young is Hark! the herald angels sing.
I also love Xmas tunes and started playing them just today. (Hmm… I wonder who gave me that idea?) My favourite guilty pleasure of Mariah Carey’s first Christmas CD (“All I Want For Christmas is You”), and love playing Christmassy harp music when I want to calm down my toddler.
Oooh, I LOVE Christmas music. All Christmas music. It is seriously HARD to pick my favourite song. The Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Christmas album is my favourite album. “I Believe in Santa Claus” warms my heart and totally floods my brain with memories of growing up. I love the instrumental version of “Sleigh Ride” and the words of “Silver Bells” paint such a beautiful picture for me. I wish all Christmas seasons could be just like that. 🙂
Ah, I think I’ll be digging out my Christmas CDs this weekend. 😀
I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who wants to start Christmas Early this year….I have been secretly playing Christmas music for a few weeks now. My ALL TIME favorite Christmas song ever is Mary’s Boy Child/Oh my Lord by Boney M…. But really, their whole album is the best. Its just not Christmas without Boney M Christmas!!!
Just facebook announced it 🙂 That means three entries for me!!
“The Christmas Song’ by Nat King Cole. My dad used to sing it to us and he played the piano. He always did it on Christmas Eve before dinner. We had our big dinner then because he had to work in the coal mine Christmas Day. It was magical. And since I left home, my sister and I both play the original by Mr Cole just before dinner – her in Nova Scotia and myself in Ontario. Da has passed on but his tradition lives on forever.
Your Divas are beautiful, by the way.
Tom Jackson’s “Home This Chrismas.” Makes me cry, everytime. It reminds me of going to my Great Aunt’s house on Christmas Eve, and being in awe of the ‘pictures’ that the frost made on her windows. There is also a house near my Grandparents’ old house that have candles in each window during the Christmas season. Anyhow, this song is my fave!
I love all Christmas music but I love Sarah McLaughlins album most right now. Wintersong is the best!
OK, I’m not Canadian (although Coloradian isn’t really so much different) – so I’m not actually “playing for the giveaway”… but my two favorites are “O Holy Night” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside” (the Dean Martin version).
Good luck on your giveaway!!!
I’d have to say Silent Night…as Chelsea said it became even more so with the Pampers commercial – sooo sweet those sleeping babies.
mmm…it’s a toss up between Silent Night and Snoopy’s Christmas by the Royal Guardsmen.
I am guessing I don’t get an entry…
It’s hard for me to pick just one, but I’m thinking my favourite is Winter Wonderland. I also really like O Holy Night. (and that’s from watching a Christmas eposide of The Facts of Life! hahahaha!)
Sleigh Bells Ring would definately be in the top ten of my list
I love Winterwonderland! I have been singing it to little James already:)
My favourite song is Sarah McLachlan’s version of “The First Noel/Mary Mary”! (and close in second would be her song “River” also on her Wintersong album….. I pretty much play that album all Christmas!
I have to say the song all the Who’s sing on How the Grinch Stole Christmas!!
I posted my favs on Facebook!!!! Did I make it into the contest?
Oops, my favorites are O Holy Night, Feliz Navidad AND the Hallejuah chorus.
Winter Wonderland or Feliz Navidad. It’s a toss up for me.
