O Christmas Tree

Every year, we put our tree up early at The Rumour Mill Headquarters.  Usually by December 1st.  The earliest we had it up was the end of November… until now.  Our tree went up last week in preparation of a holiday event that I am hosting tomorrow.  How can one host a holiday event without a Christmas Tree?  You can’t.  Nope.  It just wouldn’t be right, now would it.

This year we got lucky and Marcus, (The Elf on Our Shelf) that joined our family last year, came out early to set up our tree for us!  We woke up to a wonderful surprise and the girls were excited to decorate it.  He also left behind brand new ornaments for us!  Not only is Marcus mischievous but he is thoughtful too.

He left sometime during the night with a promise to return in December to keep his eye on our family.  To make sure that we remain on Santa’s Nice list.

Quinn got a little pink snowman, Piper got a hockey stick with skates, Davilyn got a Princess and the family ornament is a 5 little Penguins. These ornaments are all quite fitting and that Marcus of ours knows us quite well.

The girls were inside out all day waiting for Daddy to get home. They were excited to decorate the tree.

All of them were… From the oldest right to the youngest.  The excitement starts early around here.  And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And then we did our annual, in front of the tree, Christmas Photo.

What a nice looking family you have! I love the look on your baby’s face in the second face looking at your husband……….like what is everyone yelling about?

The elf delivering ornaments is such a clever idea. I think some kids would be afraid of the elf watching them without any kind of prior relationship!

Please stop by and check out my toddler decorated tree.
