Dearest Quinn ~

What a difference a year makes.  This time last year I was struggling to stay pregnant with you and stay healthy (you can read about that here ).  I was celebrating my 32 week milestone and just thankful for every extra day and week that my pregnancy lasted.  You kept me on my toes, as well as, in and out of the hospital.

But, here we are a year later and you and I get to do a lot of this

This is usually what we look like when we are hanging out at Piper’s hockey games.  I am really going to miss this next year when you are walking running all over the place.  Right now, I am soaking up our snuggles and cuddles.

You have started saying, “Mama” and it makes my heart sing.  You, of course, said “Dadda” first but that’s okay.  You call my name now.  You also blow kisses.  Oh.my.melting.heart.  This is so cute.  I almost got it on video, but you were blowing them away from me.

You are cruising the furniture now and it won’t be long until you are walking.  I really cannot believe that it has been almost a year since you joined our family making it complete.  When we have spent the day away from each other, I swoop you up in my arms and you grab my face with your pudgy little hands and give me a smooch.  I love this but do you know what I love more?  You!

Mama loves you Chickadee.

Love Mama

I can empathize with the uncertainties of a complicated pregnancy. I was hospitalized at 23 weeks with our twins. They were born at 28 weeks. It is such a relief to have them happy, healthy….and driving me batty 14 months later. 🙂
