Dearest Davilyn ~

The countdown is on to your 3rd birthday! Just thought I would remind you (not that you need reminding since with all the parties here lately, it is all you can talk about).

Two years ago this month, we were enjoying warm temperatures and spending our afternoons outside. You went from being in an exersaucer…

To swimming down slides all by yourself.  You are such a cute little girl, no doubt about that!

You have been a good sport this year with all the running around that we have done for Piper to play hockey.  You won’t be quite old enough for hockey in the fall but you will be old enough for a skating program!  You are pretty excited about that and so are we.  You have already shown us how you can skate and how anxious you are to keep up with everyone.  I have no doubt that you will love skating and you will blazing your own trail before too long.

You get to start soccer this month (if we are lucky and the fields dry up fast) and you are inside out with excitement!  You talk about it often and are so ready to get out there playing.  I am looking forward to having two girls playing soccer.  You will love playing and getting to spend two evenings a week with your friends.

You have been coming to our bed at night lately and, at first, your Daddy or I would get up and carry you back to your bed.  Now, we just pull back the sheets.  Partly because we are tired, but also because we think it is okay that you need and want that snuggle time with us.  It’s kinda nice because the first few years of your life you wanted nothing to do with sleeping in our bed.

Can you believe that we are celebrating month 33?  That is no April Fool’s joke!  You continue to be my Princess and I love you to the moon and back.

Mama loves you, Bugaboo.

Love Mama
