April 24 – 30 is National Infertility Awareness Week.

I am joining the infertility community and Busting a Myth about Infertility.  This topic is one of importance for me because of my own personal struggle with infertility.  I was one of the lucky ones and I was blessed with three beautiful girls when I got off the infertility train.  Not everyone is.

It’s a myth that because of assisted reproduction technologies (like in vitro fertilization) we will all be blessed with a baby.  It is just not true.  I am in awe of the advances of medical science and procedures.  It is amazing that these things can and do happen but not every procedure results in viable pregnancy and a baby.  I wish it did but wishing it doesn’t make it true either.

So, join me and Bust a Myth about infertility!
