Soccer season is under way here and the weather has been great! I cannot complain about that. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. The mosquitos are not out yet and the fields are relatively dry. Yay!
Piper is such an athletic little girl. She and I are so much alike in that regard. I am coaching her team this year which I am really enjoying so far. I watch her play and I am amazed that she is only five. She is really showing so much potential and with her determination, she will succeed.
My little team is so fun. What a great group of kids. I am especially excited because each one of them wants to take a turn playing goalie! This is a pretty big change from her team last year. There is one little boy who played on her team last year (and is on her team this year) who has made some big strides as well. It is so awesome to watch them learn.
Davilyn is supposed to be playing as well but she hasn’t taken to the field like Piper has. Her first night she was very disappointed that she was not playing on Piper’s team and that she had to play on the little field. I hope that she settles in and enjoys it. When we kick the ball around at home, she is a good little player as well.
So this will be my life, twice a week for the next eight weeks.
