Tangled

We celebrated Davilyn’s 3rd birthday this weekend, Tangled Style. She is absolutely head over heals for Disney’s Tangled. She knows all the songs and can repeat scenes from the movie. She loves all things Rapunzel. I bought her a Rapunzel night-gown in March and she wears it every night. It gets washed often. She would wear it every night if we would let her.

On Friday night, I was cutting out the “crowns” for the kids craft. As the kids arrived, they decorated their very own crown.

I decorated one for Quinn to display so that the guests knew what was expected of them. The making of their own crowns was a hit and actually a very easy craft for a birthday party. I bought self adhesive “jewels” from the dollar store so there was no glue and really no mess.

Quinn loved her crown too

I made a sign announcing Princess Davilyn’s birthday celebration and Craig set it out at the end of our driveway.

The plan was for all the girls to dress up in their favourite Princess dress. My Sporty Spice (Piper) wore hers for about 5 minutes. Davilyn lives in hers, so this is an everyday outfit around here.  Piper loved her crown though and wore that proudly most of the day and night.

The cake was a hit for my Davi Doodle. She was just so excited for her Rapunzel birthday. I loved every minute of her excitement. This really was one of our best parties.

I had Rapunzel make an appearance at Davilyn’s party. She arrived bearing gifts for Davilyn and for all the guests. She told her story and other adventures that she and Flynn Ryder have been on. She painted a glitter tattoo on each of the girls and they sang and danced.

Davilyn was in Princess Heaven.  She loved it.  Even now, a couple of days later she talks about Rapunzel being at her birthday.

Then after all the guests had gone, the sun came out and we played outside with our bubbles.

Quinn tried to play soccer like her big sisters

We topped off the awesome celebration with a special treat for the birthday girl.

She has been insisting that there will, in fact, be floating lanterns on her birthday this year

And this wonderfully, funny Princess of mine, was not disappointed

I agree. It was one of our best birthday parties.

A party well planned, Queen Nicole!

so wonderful – what great memories for her – she will remember and treasure it forever, I think!

The Lanterns were so great! They worked much better than imagined.
