Dearest Davilyn ~

If you wanted to drive race cars for a living, you totally could.  You can be whatever you want to be.  Like today, you were a princess and yesterday you were a twirling dancer.  No matter what you decide to be in life, you will always be my baby.

You, my dear, are a 3-year-old that still needs to nap.  You don’t want to nap.  You  protest it and then you stay up half of the night when you do nap.  This is such a rough phase.  You have decided that you kind of like to sleep in our bed and you kind of like to snuggle.  You come to our bed most nights now and you snuggle right up to you Daddy.  Then, in the morning, when he gets up to go to work you roll right over and snuggle up to me.  I really don’t mind sharing my sleeping quarters with you so long as you don’t toss and turn all night.  That, my dear, drive me crazy.

You are a chatterbox.  When you get some time alone with just your Daddy and I, you talk and talk and talk.  So many stories you have to share with us and it is so awesome to listen to them.  You absolutely made my day when you came into the kitchen with a huge smile on your face and said, “Mama, Piper is my bestest friend.”  I hope that remains true long into your adult hood.

You have recently taken up singing.  It’s awesome.  I love hearing your version of all kinds of songs.  The Wiggles are some of your favourite right now and we all get our groove on when we play them in the van.  I love these days, Davilyn.  Let’s have a life time of them.

Mama loves you, Boo.  Happy Canada Day!

Love Mama.
