You may remember that I posted about my friend, Shannon’s, unexpected death in July. You can read more about that here. Our Mom’s group was shocked and saddened, to say the least. This is a death that hit home for many of us. Not only was Shannon our friend, she was a young woman (our age) and had a young daughter at home. She had a loving husband and was looking forward to her daughter starting school this fall. She had hopes and dreams left to fulfil and an entire life left to live.
We are planning a walk in her memory and are collecting money to make a donation to both the Heart and Stroke Foundation and to her daughter’s trust fund.
Our walk is planned for Sunday October 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. If you are so inclined (and local), please come out and join us. Please wear purple, it was her favourite colour and we want to honour her memory.
