Dear Davilyn ~

Of my 3 gorgeous girls, you are by far most like your Mother.  You are stubborn.  Determined.  Strong willed.  You are not a morning person.  You never have been.  Neither have I.  When I challenge you to a battle of wills, we both win.  Or we both fail, depending on how you look at it.  The other night when you absolutely refused to try your supper (let alone finish it), I told you it was bed time.  We set the timer and waited.  You took miniscule bites.  They weren’t even bites big enough for a mouse.  Then when the time was up, I ushered you to your bedroom.  You cried.  You told us we hurt your feelings.  We said sorry.  You were sleeping by 6:30.

You started dance class and you come home and show everyone what you learned.  I knew you would love to dance.  It’s who you are.  Our Princess.  You have been in school for a month and I am pretty sure you have worn a skirt or a dress every day.  I love when you pick out an outfit and model it for us, then you say “Sylish”.  You are!

You are much like Piper, in that you wish everyone was your friend.  So I remind you that we try to be friends with everyone and, at the very least, we include them in our play time if they want.  We never tell someone that they cannot play with us.  I hope this lesson is one that you carry with you all your life.

There are so many things that I want for your life and happiness is at the top of my list.

Mama loves you Boo.

Love Mama
