Dear Quinn ~

Look how cute you are! Adorable.

We have been in potty training mode at our house for about a month now… maybe longer.  You caught on quickly.  You tell us when you need to go.  You go often.  You tell us when we are out and about.  You tell us in the truck and make us pull over to the side of the road so you can go (good thing we bring your potty with us).  You have been wonderfully fantastic.  I even felt so confident about your success that I told many people… I officially declared you daytime potty trained.  I jumped up and down in excitement that we would be diaper free.

And then you started having accidents…

Oh well, Quinn.  You aren’t quite two and I till think you are doing a great job.  I am still so very proud of you and I encourage you to keep up the great work.  I am pretty sure we will be diaper free by summer time!

You are growing so much and your vocabulary is growing larger and larger each day.  You are able to communicate with all of us and most of the time, we know what you are trying to say.

You love to sit with Annie, feed her, walk her around the house and sit on her.  I thought that she must surly hate that and be bothered by it so I am often telling you to please leave her alone.  Then, one morning, Daddy took all three of you out and it was just Annie and I left in the house.  Annie seemed so sad and unsure of what to do with herself, so she just laid in her kennel until you all came home.  I think she missed you all.

23 months today, Quinn.  Mama loves you, Chickadee.

Love Mama

I use to Nanny for a family where their mother use to do this, but on a diary. Looking back when her daughter got older she gave it to her and she still cherishes it till this day. How cool is that. I hope your kids are able to look back and see what you did for them too!
