Yesterday evening I was sitting in my living room listening to Quinn and Davilyn in the background, watching for Craig and Piper to get home when Davilyn approached me in her damp swimsuit.
“Can I change?”
To which I replied, “of course” and off she went.
She came back into the living room with her graduation dress on.
Looking as cute as ever.
She asked me to help her button the dress at the back and as she lifted her hair for me, she said
“I am pretending it’s my wedding day.”
Then she twirled around the living room and I was transported to a day 20 years from now where she wears white and dances around a ballroom.
