On Why I haven’t posted about my BlogHer Experience

It was that good and I don’t think I can put into words the experience that it was for me.

I roomed with a blogging buddy that I have “known” online for 7 years! When we first met in the lobby of the Hilton, it was more of a reunion than a first meeting. I liked her more in person than I do through our blogs, if you can believe it. We had so much fun together and I was sad to see it end.

You can go over to her blog The Kir Corner and meet her too.

Then, if that wasn’t enough, I met some “celebrity” bloggers that I have read for years.   The Stirrup Queen, for example and my favourite by far, Kathy over at Bereaved and Blessed.  I knew Molly’s story.  I cried and I was happy when she had her Rainbow baby, Abby.  I met so many wonderful women.  Inspiring, funny and amazing women.

The Pioneer Woman was there as well, but I didn’t see her or meet her.  I did hear President Obama and watch him live via satellite as he addressed the audience and opened BlogHer 2012.  I sat a few hundred yards away from the stage and listened to Martha Stewart and Katie Couric and although those were highlights worth mentioning, the best times were had sitting outside the session rooms meeting thousands of other Bloggers.  Sitting and chatting with my new friends.

Those were the best times.

BlogHer 2013 is in Chicago for those of you interested in going.  Go!  You’ll love it.  I know I did.

I’m so glad I got to sit next to you at dinner. I know what you mean about it being difficult putting the experience into words.

You are so sweet and kind! Thank you for what you said about me and my girls. xoxo

You managed to say so much in this post in few words. But I still got a great sense of what BlogHer meant to and was for you.

That is so awesome that you and Kir got to be together in person after all that time! Though I haven’t know her nearly as long, I had a similar reaction to meeting her there. She is even cooler, more fun and down-to-earth than I imagined!

I agree that the keynotes were great, but not nearly as wonderful as getting to spend time with women like you and especially getting to actually hang out and talk with you. xoxo

Hope you can make it to Chicago next year! It was be awesome to see you again! 🙂

I only met you guys one night and I still haven’t blogged about it because I can’t find the words of how much it meant to me. I was and still am in awe that I was there with you guys.
