Has come to an end this week. It is a bittersweet moment for me, no question.
We converted Quinn’s crib to a toddler bed and we took our rocking chair out of her room. My last baby is growing up and my time for rocking my babies has come to an end.
At bedtime she said, “Mama rock me?”
“No, Quinn. No more rocking.”
“Daddy rock me?”
“No, Quinn. No more rocking.”
I have rocked all three of my babies in that very chair. For the last six and half years we have rocked them to sleep. Snuggled with them and now that rocking chair is retiring because my time for rocking babies is done.

So bittersweet. You may be done rocking them to sleep, but they will never be to old to hold and rock.

It is so bittersweet for me but I am trying to embrace and enjoy the next chapter in our journey.
