Dear Piper ~
I wish you could see what I see when I watch you play Ringette. You are good. You are a solid contributor to your team and to the game. You skate better than I ever could. I love watching you play when your head is in the game. You love it. You enjoy scoring goals but I know that you just love the team atmosphere. I’m proud of you.
We celebrated another wonderful Christmas and spent the majority of your school break together. We had some great times. Sliding at the hill. Snowmobiling as a family. Playing Wii. It’s been a pretty fantastic two weeks but tomorrow you are back to school and I am back to work. Let’s not forget just how much fun we have had.
You have started emailing recently. Just Grammy, Grampy, Gramma, Auntie and, of course, Mom and Dad. You are so excited to check your email and see if you got any replies to your emails. I can’t believe I have a child sitting at the lap top, composing emails and sending them off. When did that happen?
It’s been an exciting month and now we can buckle down a bit and get back to business. 2013 is going to be a great year!
