Dear Piper ~

Can you hear how loudly I cheer you on when you are playing ringette? I know I am the loudest Mom out there. I love watching you play. The way you can skate, the way you can shoot and pass. You are a good player and an asset to any team.

You know that, right?

I love taking video of your games and then setting them up so you can watch them at home. You should see how awesome you look out there. I love that we found ringette. Our teams have been so much fun. So many friendships that I get to watch grow and prosper. So many goals that I get to cheer on.

It’s a family event for us. You and Davilyn playing, Daddy coaching, Me as the team Manager and Quinn sitting behind the bench yelling at you and cheering. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?

Our winter has been long and cold (well at least January has been). We haven’t been able to spend much time outside. Even at school your recesses have been restricted to indoor play. We are all counting down to April 26 when our campsite opens for the season! How much fun are we going to have this year! I cannot wait.

Your reading and writing skills are improving so much. When we practise your reading, I have you sit on the couch with your sisters and read to them. They love it, you love it and you get your reading time in.

Now that the NHL is back, you have been dying to go to a game. Every time there is a game, you ask. You beg. You plead. Finally, last night Daddy took you to your first game this season. You really are your Grandfather’s Granddaughter.

I love you and want you to keep being so awesome.

Love Mama
