You have started a new sport to love.
Basketball.
You have been playing at school and telling us all about it. I was thinking about getting you, your own ball and net but the weather has stayed cold and it slipped my mind. This weekend was a beautiful weekend and we were all outside playing when I suddenly remembered that I was planning to get you a ball and net. So off you and I went to Canadian Tire. You have been at it, almost, non-stop. Shooting hoops.
You reminded me that Papa and Gramma have a basket net at their house, but no basketballs. You wondered why they would have one. You seemed rather surprised to learn that I played basketball when I was younger.
Piper, where do you think you get your love from? Both your Daddy and I were active growing up. Daddy played baseball and hockey. Mommy played soccer, baseball, and volleyball. I have no doubt that you are going to play all of these sports too.
Next weekend we will start camping, now that the weather is good. Hopefully it stays this way and we can coast on into a wonderfully warm summer.
