Dear Davilyn ~

Last month, you and your sisters went to Gramma and Papa’s for a week. At least that was the plan. You came home after one night. Usually, I would not give in to your pleas of homesickness but since Auntie had just had Aria and a c-section, she needed some of Gramma and Papa’s help. You crying the blues all week wasn’t going to be much help.

You had a pretty good week home with us but it was very quiet. There was no one here for you to fight with. Daddy and I enjoyed it. We spent almost a week at Gramma and Papa’s when we went to get your sisters. We snuggled baby Aria and we went fishing. You caught the most fish out of everyone but you didn’t enjoy as much as the rest of us. Go figure. Davilyn through and through.

You start Kindergarten this week. I can’t wait to hear all about your first day and to hear about who is in your class and all the cool things that you get to do in Kindergarten. You are going to love it. Me? I still flip between being excited for you and being sad at how quickly the years are flying by. How it was just yesterday that you were learning to walk and talk. Now, you are learning to read and write. You will be walking into your Kindergarten class with your backpack on your back and I will standing at the sidewalk watching you grow up before my eyes.

But go! Run into your class. Don’t look back. Take kindergarten by storm and then come home and tell me all about it.

Mama loves you Doodle Bug.

Lova Mama.
