Month 95 – Letter to Piper

Dear Piper ~

We have just endured the coldest month of our lives!  I’m sure of it.  Buses have been cancelled, no outdoor recess, no playing outside after school, no sliding at the hill, no snow machining.  It’s been actually quite miserable.  We are a family that loves to get outside.  You and your sisters love playing outside.  It really does make us crabby around here.  Not to mention we have all been sick this past week.  On Sunday we managed to get outside for the afternoon and we tried snowshoeing.  You really wanted to try cross-country skiing and Daddy did get you set up, but you weren’t able to go very far on your own.  We will try to get out again, okay.

Hopefully it will warm up soon and we can spend the day on the snow machines as well.

We are gearing up for a busy weekend of hockey.  Between you and Davilyn we will be involved in two separate tournaments and about eight games.  I just hope Quinn can keep up with it all.  You should be tired come Sunday night.

You have adjusted well from ringette to hockey.  Your focus on puck handling has been awesome and your skating always amazes me.  You are one talented player and I’m not just saying that because I am your mother.  You have made us all very proud.

Mama loves you, Magoo.

Love Mama.
