Dear Quinn ~

You are in a phase of defiance and I’m tired. Your Daddy tells me that I need to ignore it or let it go, but it’s hard. You inherited your stubbornness from me. We both like and want to have the last word. I think it is possible that I met my match. I am tired.

You are till skating but the season is almost done. It’s such a rough time of day for us and by the time you take to the ice, you are ready for bed. So when bedtime does actually roll around you are beside yourself. I think a full day of JK is going to take its toll on you.

Today was not the coldest day of the winter but it wasn’t exactly a warm one either. You and your sisters were outside for almost 5 hours this afternoon. I love that you love to be outside. It’s good for you.

We have spent the past weekend and many hours at the rink cheering on Piper. I know you get bored, but thank you for hanging in there for us and for her. You don’t realize it now, but this is such a wonder “sisterly” thing for you to do. So thank you for your patience and your cheers. Just a few weeks left.  But first we get up today and hit the road by 8:00 so Piper can be on the ice by 9:00.  Thank you for taking this ride with us.

We have so much snow and I know you can’t wait for some spring weather so we can start to dig out from under it all. I can’t wait right along with you. I am so looking forward to spring and summer. So many memories await us and experiences together. Looking forward to doing this with you!

Almost every morning when I drop you off at school, you unbuckle from you seat and poke your head up front. You look in the mirror and say, “Mama take our picture.” or “Mama take my picture.” We love our selfies. I love you.

Mama loves you Quinner.

Love Mama.
