Dear Piper ~
We are still recovering from our awesome family road trip vacation. We had such an amazing trip and you loved it! We did so much and saw so much in those two weeks. I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to go.
Summer is upon us and there is still much to do to get settled here. You have been patient waiting for your room to be ready. We are working hard to get it done.
Day camp starts tomorrow and you have been pretty excited to go. I hope it’s everything you want out of summer and more. I want you to enjoy your summer and not get bored. I want you to stay active and see your friends. I want you to make new ones. Like the trio of boys next door. I love that you and your sisters love to make friends. Ride your bikes. Play soccer. Blow bubbles. Be loud. Enjoy the outdoors. I hope when September comes you will be ready for a rest.
I loved having our little family in close quarters for two full weeks. We had our moments. There was some fighting, crying and whining but when you grow up you will always remember this trip. The time when we took the Durango piled inside and drove 8000km to the East Coast and back. That makes the effort worth it. You are worth it.
I love you and I think the world of you. You make my life worth it.
