T’was the night before Christmas
and all through our 30 acre wood.
The girls were all giddy
and would burst if they could.
Another Christmas chaotic
our stuff tucked in boxes.
The girls were excited,
thought they’d see them some foxes.
Moving two weeks before Christmas,
what WERE we thinking?
Clearly we weren’t,
and I swear we weren’t drinking.
There is not enough snow
to please this girl from Northwestern Ontario,
No skiing, no sledding… But, at least there is
White Christmas playing on the radio.
Quinn got her own Elf,
Elsa is her name.
She’s been pretty wonderful
and has lived up to her fame.
Davilyn played hockey
She put her first goal in the net.
Now if she could just get a few more
we would be set.
Piper the Sniper,
not much more to say.
Breakaways to the net,
she leads the way.
I’m very excited,
as Santa takes flight.
