Hasn’t felt much like spring these last few days with flurries of snow flying.
April was a nice month. I always get in a funk in April. Perhaps it’s the fact that I am always one year older. Or it’s the weather. We want spring to spring immediately and when that doesn’t happen everyone starts complaining. It’s hard to embrace snow at this time of the year. We simply want to see some sun and have some warm temperatures after a long winter. Our trip to Florida seems so long ago. And summer seems so far.
We are planning an addition and some upgrades to the home we moved into in December. Those are coming along slowly but we are starting to settle in. I still have a garage full of boxes that I need to go through and unpack. But in the meantime, I have a things I want to do and enjoy. Summer is approaching and I’m itching to go camping and boating and have bonfires and fun with my family.
Craig and I are sneaking away to Vegas soon and I can’t wait for that time to reconnect and the opportunity to miss my girls. So that when we come home we are ready to move full steam ahead into summer. No big summer road trips are planned this year but we are planning lots of little adventures and memories to be made.
I am looking forward to it. Now if only the sun would come out and melt the snow and dry the rain.
