Hockey has taken over our life
As we run from rink to rink.
Watching our girls score and stop pucks
This Mama needs a break and could sure use a drink.
In the glow of the tree lights, I sit sipping my Joe
Wondering if I forgot anything…
did I have somewhere to go?
The girls have been playing
with a new iPad app.
It tells them if they have been Naughty or Nice
And Craig’s lost the scissors under all the gift wrap.
Diva 1 wants a ramp for her skate board,
Diva 2 asks for a doll,
Diva 3 wants Olaf Slippers,
Oh they’ll love it all.
The girls are all excited
It glitters in their eyes.
The Elves leave tonight
And the girls are saying their goodbyes.
After the girls are in bed,
Craig wants to have a night cap.
I don’t know if I can make it
If I don’t have a nap.
We are all so excited
as Santa takes flight.
