Dear Davilyn ~
We are full into Christmas mode now. The tree is up and we have started baking. We just need some snow and colder weather so that we can get our rink in the yard set up. It isn’t looking like that will happen any time soon. It’s been a warm and rainy fall.
You and Quinn are on the same hockey team this year and we had our first tournament. Quinn will be looking up to you all year, enjoy those moments in your relationship. It was so fun to watch you both play. You have certainly taken the lead on your team and are really working hard out there. It’s exciting to watch you and I am so proud of your leadership. There a few new players on the team and you always help them out with where they should be on the ice during face offs and you are always helping them figure out drills. I am so happy that you are such a great helper and a good friend to all on your team. It’s also nice to watch you score goals. You have some self-doubt about your abilities, comparing yourself to Piper. You aren’t Piper. You are my Doodle and you work hard and play hard in your own way. I actually wish there was another chance for the two of you to play together. You have come out of your shall so much this year and I think the two of you would play well together.
The Elves came back this week and you are so excited. We love having them visit us. This time of year is a favourite of ours in so many ways and I am so looking forward to the Christmas break.
