My Craig is sitting in the Doctor’s office as I type this…. He may or may not need surgery on his hip (including hip replacement).
I hope it goes well and he is home in time for baseball tonight…… lub u baby.

Well – it is official. I am on the hip replacement waiting list. It is a 12-18 month wait (usually closer to 12 or a bit less according to the secretary).
I am also on a cancellation list. That allows me to get operated on before hand but with less notice. Maybe only a month notice.
This is probably the surest way for N and myself to get pregnant – to have surgery and be laid up on crutches for multiple weeks.
I could have chosen a non-surgical route, tho it would have meant limited lifestyle, more agressive medications, use of a cane and a hip replacement would eventually be required. This way, I am regaining lifestyle sooner, but the down side is that I will almost certainly need at least one revision, probably two in my lifetime.
Now I just have to decide what type of hip I want – ceramic on ceramic, metal on metal, polyethelyene on metal or cross linked polyethelyne on metal. The last two are out of the running, so it is just a decision between metal and ceramic. Currently leaning towards ceramic….
