Glucose Tolerance Test. Tastes like Orange Crush (but oh so much thicker and sweeter). The first few sips are okay but once you get down near the end of the drink it is hard to swallow.

I went last wednesday for the one hour, non-fasting test and my sugar levels came back high. So I had to go this morning for the fasting three hour test. I am high risk for gestational diabetes. I have been trying my best to eat healthy and keep the sugar intake low, but sometimes it just isn’t enough.

I am feeling Pea moving more often now, usually in the morning or in the evening while laying in bed. Occassionaly Pea gives me a bump during the day. Perhaps to make sure I am still awake while sitting at my desk.

I’m sure I will get a phone call early next week if this test comes back abnormal. I dread the thought of having gestational diabetes.

We are heading into our first weekend tomorrow since Craig’s surgery. There isn’t going to be much for the two of us to do together. Maybe sleep in and Craig can watch me do some housecleaning. Perhaps I’ll go out and rent a few movies and be a vegetable all weekend too.

Molson went to the groomers yesterday and he is oh so cuddly soft. Smells good too!

It will come back fine 🙂 It’s funny, I heard all these things about the Orange Crush…I actually liked it and downed it with one gulp..LOL.

Oh yeah..enjoy those movie rentals while it’s still just the 2 of you…soon you’ll be too f’n exhausted to stay up to watch anything 😀
